Anything-But-Basic Fudge Brownies

Ingredients
  

  • 19 tbsp butter
  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 12-oz bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray a 9" x 13" pan with cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, melt the butter and stir in the cocoa.
  • In a second, separate small bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking powder.
  • In a third bowl, mix together eggs, sugar, and vanilla.
  • Alternately add the dry mixture and the egg mixture to the cocoa mixture. Stir until smooth but don't overwork.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Spread the batter in the prepared pan and place in the oven.
  • Bake for 32-35 minutes. Do not overbake. Let cool at least 10 minutes, but preferably 30-45 before cutting.
