About Me
Hey, I’m Lindsay, a lifelong foodie and mother to one crazy little boy (soon to be two!). I grew up in the kitchen cooking and baking alongside my mom since I was old enough to hold a measuring cup, but it wasn’t until college that I realized how passionate I was about it.
Over the years I’ve tested the waters of many different interests and careers searching for something to make me feel whole. I’ve worked in doctor’s offices and vet clinics, managed at a restaurant, written for national magazines, mucked stalls at a horse barn, worked in Marketing at a CPG company, and did copywriting for an etailer. But I keep coming back to food. For me, food is the way I communicate―the way I express love and caring for those around me, the way I create beauty, the way in which I feel purpose and value in life, they way I celebrate holidays, the way I experience happiness―in short, the way I feel fulfilled.
So at 32 with a full-time job, a toddler, and another baby on the way, I decided it was time to finally follow my passion and bring recipes and stories to others through this blog in the hopes of helping them out along their own journey.
I like to think of myself as a foodie turned realist since my entrance into motherhood. I love good food and flavors, but I also turn to things that can easily be accomplished with a toddler in tow and ingredients that I generally keep around the house and that are easy to work with. But I also still have to feed my foodie soul every now and then and will splurge for something just truly delicious and worth the extra effort. Here you’ll find a mix of accessible recipes for real life, including (mostly) healthy family cooking and ideas for picky toddlers. But you’ll also find the occasional elevated meal or from-scratch dessert that is sure to wow your family and friends and help you take your own cooking/baking adventures beyond just the dulldrom of having to answer the eternal question: what’s for dinner?
What I love about food most is its ability to bring fulfillment in more ways than just one, allowing people to feed their bellies while feeding their souls, facilitating connection with others, with the past, with the present, even with themselves. It’s my hope that you feel that here and that when you leave, you too can feel Fullfilled.
